To be fair,Sunderland are defending well so far tonight. Their two CBs are far more convincing than Collins and Reid were on Saturday.

he will end up back here, but we'll have another year to find a suitor for him. as some have said, he likely has some appeal to clubs in a less physical league. If nothing else, the mexican league would likely have him back. he bagged 12 in half a season there. he and barrera can sip daiquiris on the beach together there.

1. I lost count of the number of times he went down heavily, banging his hand on the floor or waving his arm in the air in the way that players tend to do when they are actually injured, only to find him perfectly fine to carry on. Cry baby
2. Eveyone who says otherwise is mistaken - he didn't walk off slowly against Astra, he was a second half sub himself in that game

Well most of us were willing to let him go for nowt a week this is a bit of a result. If we assume he is on at LEAST £40k a week, plus the £1.5 loan fee we have already recouped £3.6m for him which even in itself is amazing.
I don't believe for a second they will pay the £14.5m fee, great if they do because it will mean he has done the business and I don't wish ill on the lad. But he had to go.
If not we pocket £3.6m and presumably have a better player playing up front. Fletcher and Zaza could be the next Shearer and Sutton!

We are going to end up pissed off at the end of this loan deal, regardless of what happens.
Either the bloke is a complete flop and we end up with Donkey Valencia back at the TescoBowl
Or he has a stormer, scores a hatfull of goals and we end up giving away the prized 20 goal a season striker for a row of beans.
